At the ripe old age of 47 I am embarking on my first real summer of racing. I am a ten year resident of Jackson Hole after spending the previous 14 years in Washington, DC and New York City. I left a career in the financial sector in NYC and have used my MBA from NYU in Jackson in a variety of endeavors from mowing lawns to parking cars to presently managing Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s Food & Beverage Warehouse. My cycling interest began in the summer of 1984 in Boulder, CO just prior to my sophomore year at the Universityof Colorado when I purchased my first mountain bike, a Specialized Stumpjumper. My first race was a mountain bike race at the Quantico Marine base in the early 1990s. In Jackson racing has been limited to local and regional mountain bike races including Cache Game, Knobby Tire Series events and Intermountain Cup series events, and two regional road races including High Uintas Stage race. As an avid cyclist I have also been able to turn my passion into work while leading bike tours for Teton Mountain Tours for the past 5 years. Mountain bikinghas taken me (and my wife) to some exotic locations including Costa Rica and the Italian Alps. This summer I plan to really delve into a more aggressive road racing schedule competing in the
Masters 35+ B Category.
